Big Thank You to Ram Prasad Khanal of the Nepali Folk Music Instrument Museum
March 11th, 2014The Mountain Music Project would like to thank Ram Prasad Kadel and The Music Museum of Nepal for hosting our Sarangi Masters Class on March 8. The museum is located in a beautiful old courtyard and houses a wonderful collection of traditional Nepali folk instruments, including what I am pretty sure is the world’s biggest sarangi and the world’s biggest morchunga (jews harp). He also has been working hard for years recording and archiving traditional Nepali music.
I highly suggest meeting him and checking out his museum in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu to anyone who comes to Nepal and has interests in traditional musics.
